Junior Kindergarten Program

With public school Kindergarten curriculum becoming increasingly academic, many children have a difficult time keeping up with their classmates. Because ICCS' Junior Kindergarten is targeted for those children who are 5 by September 30th children in this class have the opportunity to gain social and academic skills at an appropriate pace. We believe the JK year is a bridge between preschool and Kindergarten, therefore a combination of goals from Core Knowledge Preschool Sequence and Kindergarten Curriculum are used. Such areas include: Autonomy and Work Habit skills, language skills, writing and spelling, mathematical skills, social studies, and science. ICCS incorporates into each day a Bible story and the JK students will be focusing on Godly truths as well.

The JK program meets Monday through Thursday from 9:30am-1:30pm.
